Color- and Focus-Targets
Hartblei's goal is to achieve best possible image quality for your digital photos.
However, this can only be done by optimizing and fine tuning every aspect and all the parameters,
i.e. also the color reproduction and focus settings.
To support this goal, Stefan Steib has developed and refined the so-called "color targets",
long charts printed using FM rasters, available in three sizes - A5, A4 and A3 (based upon the length of the
format). These carry uniquely defined color fields of a specific density (patented). The charts are
mounted to cardboard and protected twice for durability. The ideal replacement for your old color chart.
Colortargets are available cost free in single Pieces, combined with our cameras and lenses, also as single sets on request for Schools, Universities
/Science (with shipment taken by the customer) as long as supplies last.
Now back on Stock is our printed target chart resolving real 1500 dpi, made on a printing press. It has been developed to support you visually focusing and judging achieved sharpness. It derived from close cooperation with the Bavarian State Library BSB Munich ( Digitalisierungszentrum der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek) with the goal to adjust and control cameras and scanners easy and visually. The library is working with Stefan Steib to do all the color management consulting on their project to digitize the complete library. The BSB will use these charts exclusively to create and control all their scans. Size: 64 x 78 mm, printed using an especially calibrated and optimized printing press. Part of the package is a color target (with identical colors as the targets above), size 58 x 74 mm, free of moirees thanks to FM raster (patented) Our offer:

View towards the Maidan in Kiev at stormy weather by Stefan Steib Hartblei 2,8/80 with Canon 5D, Tilt 8º, ISO 50, f/2,8, 1/1250 sec "One part of the incredible sharpness derives from the short exposure times. Taking photos with open aperture at bright sunlight takes some getting used to." Stefan Steib |
